Fossum Five is lead by PJ Fossum a Calgary-raised pianist now residing in Copenhagen. He will be joined by stalwart pillars in the Calgarian jazz scene to bring an exciting quintet of original music drawing from the post+hard bop idiom with influences like Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock, Horace Silver and Wynton Kelly. The band is PJ(acob) Fossum on paino will be Nate Waters on tenor saxophone, David Lavoie on trumpet, Jeff Gammon on bass, and Jon McCaslin on drums+cymbals.
